Division A Success Plan for 2016/2017
Director Kris Provant

Last Update: August 31, 2016

The Division Council consists of:
Matt Reed, Area A1 Director
Annette Krause, Area A2 Director
Annita Shaw, Area A3 Director
Phill Vansickle, Area A4 Director
Patty Johnson, Area A5 Director
Rick Gividen, Area A6 Director

The Division Council will meet and discuss:
Bi-monthly or quarterly conference calls which include updates from each Area Director on positive things happening in their clubs as well as problems to address.

The District is asked to help with:
Supply materials for publicity, such as promotional items (pens, bookmarks, lanyards, etc) and clubs (such as extra CC and CL manuals). Provide membership to Boise Chamber of Commerce to facilitate networking and access to companies which might be good candidates for new clubs.

The Division plan to pursue opportunities to develop leadership:
Encourage Area Directors to recruit people to chair contests, and make sure that they have experience chairing events themselves (on the level of TLIs), to better understand what will be required of others.

The Division plan to expand opportunities for Leadership:
Keep in contact with leadership of clubs to learn about members who are ready to reach higher. Use the Chamber of Commerce to recruit new members.

The Division plan to get 75% of club officers trained:
Through the summer TLI session and makeup trainings, we surpassed the 75% mark by August 1. We did so by breaking up the officer training sessions into 3 groups: Pres/VPEs, VPM/VPPRs, and Sec/Treas/SAAs. Different ADs targeted each group, and then followed group makeup sessions with individual trainings.

I would also like to establish a culture where Area and Division Directors home clubs are 100% trained, to set an example for the Division, and raise attention for leadership opportunities for others by making members aware of what they have in their own clubs, and stir interest in connecting with their peers.

The Division plan for starting New Clubs:
Use Chamber of Commerce and investigate possibilities with local corporations that don't have clubs.

The Division plan for achieving education awards:
Division will establish a culture that no clubs give non-manual speeches, and by default, members will achieve the educational awards that earn their clubs DCP goals.
